Janessa is a size 5 in the small. Stephanie is a size 14/16 in the XL. These are a true to size fit but are not oversized.
A 1x will fit similar to a 2x and the 2x similar to a 3x in this brand. If you'd like more flowy fit you could size up one but that is the only reason to size up!
